On the ground floor of the same house in Colmegna, five kilometres north of Luino, but inside a completely different apartment from the one above: bright plaster, exposed stone, an open timber roof and a bathroom behind steel and glass.
Outside
The best of it is the covered seating area behind the house. Old timber roof, paved floor, the rock rising behind it and greenery all around. You can sit here at midday in the shade, when the air down by the lake stands still.
Living and cooking
A living room with a leather sofa and built-in shelving, next to it the open kitchen with an island and a large dining table. Fully equipped, with oven, fridge and dishwasher.
Sleeping
One bedroom with a double bed and an additional single, French doors onto the greenery. The bathroom is new and generous, with a level-access shower.
Good to know
Ground floor, so no stairs. The house stands on the shore road towards Maccagno – traffic by day, quiet at night. The water is thirty paces away. Minimum stay three nights.
