"The nest" is what this apartment is called, and the name fits. It sits in the top floor of a historic house in the centre of Germignaga, under an exposed timber ceiling, with white walls and a pale floor. Small, quiet, carefully furnished – for two.
Living and cooking
Sofa, dining table and TV in one room, and beside it a kitchen of its own with hob, fridge and space to work. Air conditioning for the hot weeks, WiFi all year.
Sleeping and bathing
One bedroom with a double bed under the beams. The bathroom has a tub – rare in apartments this size – and a second washbasin.
Where you are
The piazza starts at the door, with a café and an ice cream shop; on summer evenings half the village sits here. The beach is five minutes away, Luino ten. Luino station, with trains to Milan and Bellinzona, is within walking distance.
Good to know
No lift. Pets are welcome; a cot and a travel bed are available on request. Washing machine in the apartment. Minimum stay six nights – this one is meant for the longer week, not for a weekend.
