In the old centre of Germignaga, a few metres from the water: an apartment rebuilt from the ground up, and it shows. Herringbone parquet throughout, tall rooms, white walls, and the old dark timber door frames left in place. Few pieces of furniture, a lot of light.

Living and cooking

A generous living room with a wing chair, dining table and an open kitchen run: gas hob, oven, fridge, espresso machine. Two south-facing windows and sun on the floor all afternoon.

Sleeping and bathing

One bedroom with a double bed, a TV and greenery outside the window. The bathroom is new and would not be out of place in a hotel: a level-access rain shower in beige, black fittings, a counter basin, a bidet, indirect light behind the mirror.

Outside

The house has a paved courtyard under an old vine, with chairs in the shade. The lido and the lakeside promenade are a few metres away, Luino a walk over the bridge.

Good to know

Designed for two. There is a proper desk with WiFi – working here for a few days is realistic. Pets by arrangement, free parking on the street. Minimum stay two nights.
