Vicolo Quartiere is one of those narrow lanes in old Luino that you turn into from the main street and where it immediately goes quiet. The apartment is on the upper floor, with warm wall colours, terracotta and stone floors, and windows that let the light off the lake in during the evening.
Living and cooking
A large living room with striped upholstery, a potted olive tree and a dining table that seats six. The kitchen is fully equipped: hob, oven, fridge, pots and pans for a real dinner.
Sleeping
Two bedrooms: one with a double bed and a TV, one with bunk beds – four guests, three beds. Both face the quiet courtyard side.
The balcony
A narrow balcony with a cast-iron spiral stair and a small table for two. And then the reason you will be late for dinner: from here the sun goes down over the water, behind the palms along the shore road.
Good to know
The bathroom has a tub, with the washing machine next to it. No lift. Pets are welcome and a travel cot is available. Minimum stay three nights. Market, station, boat pier and lakeside promenade are all walkable – you do not really need a car here.
