Right at the top of old Luino, two minutes on foot from the pedestrian centre: an eighty-five square metre top-floor apartment, entirely under an open timber roof. Warm wall colours, pale floors, plenty of light through floor-length doors – and above all, the way out.
The roof terrace
The reason for this apartment. A wide tiled deck above the rooftops, with loungers, a parasol and a long table. You look across the old town to the campanile, and behind it the lake and the mountains on the far shore. In the evening the light comes in low across the water, and you have it to yourself.
Living and cooking
One continuous living room with a corner sofa, a TV and a round dining table for six, plus a proper desk with WiFi. The kitchen is new and complete: induction, oven, dishwasher, fridge. Air conditioning in the living areas.
Sleeping and bathing
Two bedrooms with a double bed each, both with a window and reading lamps. A sofa bed for two in the living room brings it to four guests in all. One bathroom with a tub, and the washing machine beside it.
Good to know
The house also has a garden with palms and loungers, and parking of its own. A travel cot and a high chair are available on request – this apartment is meant for families. Pets, smoking and parties are not permitted. Station, market, boat pier and lakeside promenade are all within walking distance.
